Heather Ridge Estates Committees
Architectural Committee
The Architectural Control Committee (ACC) consists of three or five members that reviews all requests for changes to existing homes. It ensures that any changes are in keeping with the guidelines. It approves or denies requests based on completeness, and compliance with the established standards. In general, no modification can be made to any existing unit unless the owner first submits a modification request and receives approval to proceed.
Communication Committee
The Communications Committee is responsible for the HOA Board of Directors communications to the residents of Heather Ridge Estates, general information announcements, publishing of periodic newsletters, contact with new neighborhood residents and maintenance of the HOA Information Directory. This is accomplished through the assignment of specific duties to five different resident sub-committees:
Newsletter sub-committee
Responsible for gathering information of community interest, publishing and distributing a neighborhood newsletter at regular intervals which has been reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors.
Welcome Wagon sub-committee
Responds to a request to deliver welcome and greetings to all new residents on behalf of the Association.
Community Information Directory liaison
This resident representative has the responsibility of making contact with new residents as soon as they move into their home to secure their name, telephone number and e-mail address.
HOA Website development and maintenance sub-committee
oversees the development of the HRE web-site to communicate with the residents and others about our neighborhood.
Block Captain sub-committee
Block Captain coordinators are responsible for recruiting and maintaining Block Captains to represent each area in our neighborhood. They are also responsible for distribution of neighborhood Directories, Welcome Packets, and Crime Watch notification. The responsibility of the Safety / Crime Watch Committee is to act as the community's liaison to the City of Richardson Crime Watch Program and provide crime and safety reports to the Block Captains and for publishing Crime Alerts.
